Installing KPImailer

Installs KPImailer on a Windows server as a self-contained appliance, with its own database, scheduler, and web application.

  • A Windows Server machine (or Windows desktop for evaluation) that can reach your Qlik Sense environment and an SMTP server.
  • Administrator rights on that machine.
  • The KPImailer installer package, provided by Relevance Management.
  1. Copy the installer to the server and run it as Administrator.
  2. Follow the setup wizard. It walks you through the license agreement and the install location, then installs the application, its database, and the background scheduler as Windows services.
  3. Create your administrator account. Near the end of the wizard you set the email and password for the first KPImailer user. This account has full administrator rights (“Superuser”) and is the one you’ll use to sign in for the first time.
  4. Finish and launch. When the wizard completes, open a browser to the server’s address (for example https://your-server:port) and you’ll land on the KPImailer sign-in page.

From here, continue to First-run setup to license the installation and connect Qlik Sense and email.
